Clients always have a tough time with inhouse IT staff. Be the everyday hassle of leave, salary increments, limits to knowledge and more so the overheads associated. This typically leaves a client with the use of redundant systems and technologies stunting the growth of the company.
2Mtech took over and hand held the client under IT as a Service and streamlined the inhouse IT team taking over the day to day running of IT and its ancillary services. Post this we focused on IT upgrades and a clear road map for all stakeholders to oversee. Client servers were migrated from redundant servers and moved to robust servers seamlessly in just a weekend. Our job was not done. We then upgraded PC’s with the latest platforms along with training modules to keep staff abreast with the latest technologies in offer as of date.
In the second phase the client’s emails were migrated from a local supplier to Office 365 with zero downtime and eventually disaster recovery systems were put into place with multiple levels of data protection with data copies available onsite and item-level data recovery offsite. The finishing touches were added, by implementing security solutions and Anti-X on all client systems.
Today the client runs a hybrid scenario with some of its IT systems inhouse and the rest has been migrated to the cloud. This has resulted in an overall 30% reduction in the IT footprint of the client and a cool 65% in the overall total IT spending each month.
